Your post is confusing. If you got laid off, how come you are on job as yet?
Have you found a new job? Are you working on new H1 or EAD?
Please clarify before I can answer wisely.

I am sorry while i was writing my initial post i missed adding NOT,
"As I am NOT on job at present, I can not produce any client letter at consulate in case if they ask. "
Let me add more on my scenario, I don't know how correct to use the word "laid off", my contract was ended in DEC-08 with client, but still my H1B holding company is paying me and said that they will support sending me all needed documents for H1B extension Stamping, asked me to take a vacation for a month or so (as any way i am going back to India for extension).
As "LostInGCProcess" said as long as my company is paying me, Will i have chances to get my extension stamping? or Shall I have to be on the job with Client and have to carry a letter of proof showing which client i work for?

My experience is that even with the "1/focal length" rule (or maybe it should be "1/(focal length x crop factor)") is a bit optimistic with these long tele shots. Maybe it can work if you have really good technique and a sturdy tripod but I like to use a much shorter shutter time if possible.

lots of delays for many applicants. I personally know 2 people waiting. One waiting for more than 2 months. Other one just about a month.....:eek:

1. How can he use the PIO card to enter and exit India?
I got PIO Cards recently, but not entered India yet. So far I used only visas.
a. Does he simply show the PIO card, US passport to enter and exit India?
I assumed the same. It is just like a "Visa", but not on the passport but as a separate booklet.
2. Incase if the PIO card processing takes a lot of time I know that he can apply for visa. I was wondering anyone has experience on how visa could be applied if PIO processing takes a long time at the SFO consulate.
It is efficient and less expensive on money and time if you decide before you apply. If you have couple of months time before travel, apply PIO or you have only couple of weeks appy for Visa.

Well company A can file my GC but the issue is that the financial books of company A are not clear right now. Hence there are chances I-140 will be refused even if I file on EB1.
Company B is willing to take me but the issue is how do I join B. The options which I see are that B files my GC under EB2 or EB3 and I continue to work with company A till then. But then in EB2/EB3 the processing will take years till I get my EAD and join company B.

I applied for my EAD in the last week of Nov 10. I got mine in the first week of Jan 11.
For the question of 'if she can leave while USCIS is processing her AP', I am not sure...
My PD is Jul 31, 2006 and I am going to add my wife to the application on June 1st. She is on H-4 right now.
How long does it take to get the AP and EAD? Can she leave the country without the AP.

Yes... but it also means that your app is out of the storage area into the staging queue, which means an advancement !
USCIS needs to provide a legend/work-flow chart of what they put in their SR's and where that stands in the overall flow.
I got an SR response back saying that my application is "waiting to be assigned to an officer"...whatever that means...isnt every application so? I think SRs are just as useless as any other 'customer service' provided by USCIS...

I also paper filed EAD on 05/13/2008, Cheques cashed very next day and also received receipt notice by mail on 05/16/2008. So far no FP notices. I also read somewhere in the forum saying no FP's when paper file.

USCIS is doing this to me the second time. They did the same with my EB3 I-140 and now with my EB2 I-140! I am really upset about the way this lazy NSC is handling I-140s.
My EB2 I-140 was filed with premium processing on 9/2/2010. Today is 09/16 already and there are no hopes of my case getting touched or approved in 1 day! How do I know, because there are no LUDs since 09/03 (when the premium processing receipt issued).
Same thing happened with my EB3 case when I requested for premium processing (at NSC) they gave back the premium fee and said they cannot complete the case with in 15 days! So why are they even having this premium service to fool around....
Is there any thing that I could do about this?

I also have two I-485s pending. I contacted the attorneys about this and they said not to do anything with them. Let USCIS deny one of those when time comes. Sending any sort of communication to USCIS might cause more confusion than necessary. I hope that helps.

What if USCIS had not screwed up by using all "C"s in July bulletin? You would not have even filed AOS !! Think positively. And don't show even a sign that you are waiting for 180 days; just count them inside. Until then your sponsor can pull the plug anytime by revolking your I-140, and if that happens, you are back to square one.

Currently i am asking my employer to refund me the Medical expenses that they have been charging me without my knowledge. Since they are not responding back to my questions, i have threatened them that i will pursue for my GC expenses also that they promised to cover (also documented in my offer letter).
My current status is EAD and i no longer work for that Employer and i am out of job and looking for employment right now.
This seems to be a civil issue and no govertment agency will be able to help you as far as medical charges go. With regards to the GC fees, only Labor costs have to be paid by the employer after July 2007. Rest of it can be legally passed over to you. I think you have no claim whatsoever that will interest a govt agency if the labor was filed before July 2007.

Summary: It is good to work for USCIS or FBI. There is loads of overtime while in service and even after retirement they fall on your feet to do more work. :D;)
