Gingrich Looks to "Begin Anew" in L.A.

Newt Gingrich's campaign to be the 2012 Republican nominee for president appears all but finished just weeks after it began.

Gingrich's entire senior staff resigned on Thursday, having decided they had better things to do than slave away for the hapless former Speaker of the House's hopeless campaign.

After a disastrous campaign launch, the final straw was apparently Gingrich's refusal to call off a two-week vacation with his wife Callista against his top advisers better advice, among other things, reported The Fix.

Gingrich posted on Facebook Thursday afternoon. "The campaign begins anew Sunday in Los Angeles."

That's right, the re-christening of Newt Gingrich's campaign takes place on Sunday at the Republican Jewish Coalition's Summer Bash at 7 p.m. at the Beverly Hilton.  Tickets can still be purchased for as little as $250.
