Hi,
I am in the same situation. I just got the tracking number from my lawyer for the fedex that he had sent on June 30 and he has sent it to Dallas . I live and work in California. I went through the Direct Filing press release and the USCIS link :

The direct filing rule comes into effect on July 30th and they may be strict about filing center after that. As I said this is my opinion. Let me see if I can find the official answer in USCIS site.

I agree, I wanted to take everybodys perspective on my guess. Also, 2004 is the only year which can be predictable, after that everything went haywire for EB2.

I am in the same situation currently.
My company's attorneys believe that mine is not an AC21 case because I am going from Software Engineer (per PERM) to Lead Software Engineer, with substantial pay hike.
They are sending me papers for H-1B amendment and extension only (extension because my H-1B will expire soon).
Why is there a need to invoke AC21 in your case? Is there substantial change in responsibilities?
I think there will have to AC21 invoked as there is change in the job location. Secondly I will be going from Senior Assurance Associate to Assurance Manager. There will be additional responsibilities from what I already have.

The above said is correct only if you have an approved AP with you.
But I have only my H4 visa. I can go out of US with the H4 right?

That is a good question....because I have tried to save it as PDF and an EPS as well seeing if that would work, but it doesn't even show up as an option to open on the Blend side. Only the .ai file showed up. But I will try to export it with the PDF options.

As per the law, your H1B will still be valid even in if I-140 is revoked. However, the only flip side is one will lose the old priority date.
For sure, this is exactly outlined in the law. I have known some cases who are working successfully and legally on H1Bs even after their I-140s revoked (by the way one of them is in 8th year of H1B)

I don't think that the priority date is lost if the I-140 is revoked. If it is revoked because of fraud then only you may lose the priority date. If your I-140 was genuine and you have a copy of the approval, you can still use the old priority date even if the company revokes the I-140.

Does STEM considers BS + 5 yrs as Advanced degree? I have 140 EB2 approved with BS +9 years of experince, even though EB2 is for advanced degree but I think I may not qualify for STEM since I do not have master,,is this true?

However it has been routine practice to get AP renewed because if there is an emergency and on your return if your GC is approved AP is handy.
I am July 2007 filer. I applied in 2007. Did not apply in 2008 (had a valid h1b visa stamped in Passport which expires in Sep 2009) and re applied in 2009. No Issues.
