What if the rumored mapping or phone stuff that might be part of Leopard is only for .Mac users?
.Mac users can call people from their computers or get .Mac Earth or something similar.
Also, iCal needs to go online (add, edit, etc. from the Internet), storage needs to go way up, etc.
Give me something AOL and Google don't.
AOL just announced something that allows you to back up 5GB of data. .Mac gives you 1 GB. AOL is free, .Mac costs $99. I understand there are other features, but AOL has most of them too. It's not worth the $$ until some major improvements happen.

So I got my Photoshop on Mac last year and somehow, I think I accidentally pressed something. I used to have a transparent background whenever I use it so I can see the desktop but now it's all gray and boring. How do I turn it back? I have the Translucent option checked btw. Thanks for any help that will come.

I got some of the stuff in these pictures.
My mum came over to visit me in Finland and she bought me the corner light (it cycles through colours) She also bought me the cushions on the sofa.
I got the curtains from Ikea yesterday along with the plant, plus I also got the LED dioders behind the monitors.
All in all a nice lot of stuff to make my living room more of a warm place to be.
I now just have to get my artwork on the wall, next week I will get some frames in the sales.

What did you do to make your HD show the size of your HD and how much you have free?
Hit command-j at the desktop and you'll get something that looks like this. Check 'Show Item Info' and you're good to go. :)

In general: you sometimes don't get that option in a very straight forward way - and they still might sell your address (maybe not FT, but others)

Overnight my sirius app stops working once the screen fades out or I hit the button on the bottom or top of the ipad.
any ideas?
Just checked my app and it seems to be working fine. I'd close out the app and try again. Or, hard reset and try. Good luck! I LOVE my Sirius!

Also, what is so bad about the iOS notification system? I just hit "Close" if I don't care about a notification at that time.
Let's say I'm driving in my car through a city. Every 20 yards a huge window pops up blocking the view onto whatever I do (mostly Google Maps because I try to find my way) just to tell me there are 5 new Wifi Hotspots in my vivcinity and I have to close it while I'm driving. This is the reason why I have to constantly go to Settings/Wifi/Off and then switch Wifi on again later.
Also every stupid text comes up with a huge blob that blocks the view and I have to have a hand free to close the window.
At the same time when my Phone is in a dock there is no way to easily see what and how many messages are waiting. I have to slide, type my pin, navigate to home screen and look at the little red indicator on various apps.
It's just ten years behind what others have.

Hello all. I'm new on the forums but have been reading Mac Rumors for a while now.
I've decided to enter the avatar competition so here's my entry which is designed to look like a Mac Rumors iphone app icon. It uses the classic Apple logo but I also have one with the Mac Rumors logo if anyone wants to see that. ;)
