Miss Kruger-best actress international

Diane Kruger attends the Goldene Kamera Award held at Axel Springer Verlag on Saturday (January 30) in Berlin Germany.
The 33-year-old German actress won the Best Actress International award for her work in Inglourious Basterds.
Diane was joined by actors Danny DeVito and Richard Gere at the annual event. The Goldene Kamera award originally began strictly as a German television award but over the years evolved to honoring international stars as well.

Hay muchas mujeres, parece que el "duelo" es entre Lady Gaga y Beyoncé, creo que ganará Beyoncé.
Me cuesta pensar que los votantes se tomen más en serio a Lady Gaga que a Beyoncé, Madonna , o The Black Eyed Peas.

Que rara me parece esta Lady.

Fox is happy it`s over

In a smart London hotel, Matthew Fox, the star of Lost, has a killer hangover after a night out in Soho. 'I'm feeling kinda rough,' he drawls. 'I didn't mean for this to happen but I went out, there was drink, more drink - then even more. It was unexpected.'
Fox, 43, plays Jack Shephard, leader of a group of crash survivors in the show whose final series begins here on Friday. The part was originally written for Batman star Michael Keaton, and Shephard was supposed to be killed off after the first episode.
Fox shrugs: 'It's all part of the Lost myth. Strange things happen off screen as well as on. One of the most exciting things about the show for me was that I never knew whether I was going to get killed off. None of us did. Some actors hated it; I loved the idea of never knowing what was going to happen next. Most of us weren't even told the real ending. It's important to keep everyone guessing.'
Married to a former model, Margherita Ronchi, with two children, Kyle, 11, and Byron, eight, Fox is currently working on a new superhero movie called Billy Smoke, which is out next year.
My life could have been a complete disaster.
I was a pretty wild kid. I grew up on a ranch in the middle of nowhere under the huge blue skies of Wyoming. I had two brothers and a lot of friends and a lot of freedom. Out West, kids grow up with very few rules. You find strange ways to entertain yourselves. There is a whole culture in the West about what you should do to define yourself as a man, a strong man - I started experimenting with drink when I was about 13, and I was driving a year later with a farm licence. It's a very macho environment.
By the time I was 16 ten of my close friends had died.
Some were suicides, some were accidents, some were just recklessness. There's a flip side to having so much space and freedom in that you get this sense that there are very few options beyond those huge horizons. I had friends who started to feel trapped by life there, and friends who were just crazy. Most of the deaths were caused by accidents. You'd go into town and get smashed on drink and then drive 60 miles home down a deserted road in the pitch dark at 2am. That was a common thing to do.
My dad saved my life.
He pulled me out of Wyoming when I was 16 and sent me to a boarding school in Massachusetts called Deerfield. I think he could see I was heading in the wrong direction in life. I hated Deerfield when I arrived. I was a cowboy out from the middle of the Wild West plonked into this school where the boys all wore suits and ties and studied. It was like Dead Poets Society to me. I didn't conform at all. There were bed checks, curfews, sit-down meals and no girls. I was this absolute rebel who smoked and drank and put my boots on the desk. I hated it but looking back it was the best thing that could have happened to me.
I wouldn't trade my upbringing for anything.
It was wild, it was reckless but it was free. There's something compelling about living life like that, but you have to get the right perspective on it. My background is a huge part of who I am. I'm more comfortable on the back of a horse driving cattle than I am on a red carpet. Even now when I need to recharge myself I have to go back there.

I tried to make it as a trader on Wall Street.
After Deerfield, I went to Columbia University and I wanted to make a success of myself. Back then being a Wall Street trader was the definition of success. I got an interview. I am 6ft 2in and I had no suit, so I borrowed one from a friend who happened to be five nine. I turned up looking odd and I saw everyone checking out my dusty old desert boots. I heard one guy screaming like Gordon Gekko and I just knew I couldn't hack it.
I was terrified of acting when I started and I still am.
It is what drives and challenges me. Fear. I signed up to classes at William Macy's Theatre School in New York. Initially I'd get so nervous I'd feel physically sick. Everything was terrifying, from standing up in front of people to revealing emotions. It was so against everything I'd grown up to be. Out in the West, it's wild, men are men, emotions aren't exposed and you don't talk about feelings. Every day I'd find myself full of fear but every day I'd find myself compelled to go on.
I use speed to relax myself.
I love speed and I am definitely an adrenaline junkie. The success of Lost has been amazing for this addiction because now I have great motorbikes, great hot rod cars and I have just got my pilot's licence. I'll take delivery of a single-engine Bonanza D36 plane soon. Flying has become my greatest love. Being up in the air, miles away from anyone and anything, makes you feel unbelievably free.
I want a new life - I am thrilled Lost is finally over.
I've spent five years as Dr Jack Shephard. It's been a crazy experience but I want more. I want to do films, I want to do theatre, I want to be different people. It's made my name and made me famous all over the world. I've won awards for it and it's possibly the best TV series that has ever been made, but nothing beats leaping back into the unknown. Filming the very last show was a mix of sadness and pure exhilaration for me.
Women find any man on the TV sexy.
You can't take it seriously. If a guy goes on television then there are women out there who will find them attractive. I don't buy into the sex-symbol thing. It's a compliment but that's it. I'm not interested. I'm a married man. I married a girl who worked to support me while I was trying to make it as an actor. She knows exactly who I am. We've been together more than 20 years, she's the mother of my kids and that's what it's about.
I have skinny-dipping parties just to make people take off their clothes.
On the set of Lost I instigated a few skinny-dipping parties but I can't say who came. It's important if you're having a party that you do something outrageous and I'm not afraid to lead by example. I like everyone to get their clothes off and jump in the water. It's a great way to get people excited.
I drink and smoke to excess at times.
I can't help it. It's part of who I am. The wildness never quite goes. What I've discovered is to have periods of drinking and smoking, then periods of total abstinence. I wish I could stop smoking. I'd like to give up but I'm an addict.
People call me the next George Clooney but I'm more Marlboro Man.
I would love his career but I think I'm rougher round the edges. Even though I'm in one of the biggest series on the planet, I can move around undisturbed. I can fly under the radar.
Shaving off all my hair was very liberating.
It was my last day on Party Of Five (a series he starred in before Lost) and I got rid of it all. Some people didn't like it but I loved it. Every guy should do it once.
The hardest part of leaving Lost is leaving Hawaii.
We moved to Hawaii when I got the job on Lost. Byron was aged two when he arrived so he grew up there. It's an amazing place with unbelievable people, blue sea, great weather. I was sadder to leave Hawaii than Lost.

According to EW, the power couple sat together at Quentin Tarantino’s table all evening.
During the event, Brad presented the Feature Film Nomination Plaque to Quentin for Inglorious Basterds. Quentin would later be edged out by The Hurt Locker director Kathryn Bigelow making her the first woman to win the guild’s top award.

"Take your knife, CONFRONT the duck..."

Julie and Julia has been out on video for a while now and we'd managed to miss it until just a few days prior to the Oscar nominations. If this little gem has likewise eluded you this year, do yourself a favor and seek it out! Julie and Julia contrasts the blossoming culinary evolution of Julia Child in France with that of Amy Adams in present-day Manhattan as a blogger obsessed with preparing all 500+ Julia Child French cuisine recipes in just one year. Adams' present-day half of the film is disappointing, and even though this is probably the best film portrayal of a blogger to date, Adams seems to be channeling early-nineties Meg Ryan, right down to her earnest, pleading inflections. There are some winning moments, but whenever the film returns to early fifties Paris with a truly fascinating Julia Child and her devoted husband Stanley Tucci, the film soars.

Paris in this film is evoked as romantically yet believably as possible, out-enchanting even the Paris of Ratatouille, it's a glorious world of cheese and pastry, open air markets, copper kettles and of course, butter. Streep and Tucci are possibly the most romantic couple in films this year. Not overly glamorous, just two kindred spirits who genuinely love each other. There are moments where the real world casts shadows across their time in Paris, a quiet aching at fate leaving them childless, the dark specter of McCarthyism reaching across the Atlantic, threatening to upend their lives at the worst possible moment. But this is a glorious depiction of a married couple who are simply passionate best friends. When was the last time we saw that in a movie? Meryl Streep's Julia Child is a wonder. When I first heard of this movie, I assumed it would be some kind of groaning parody. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Please don't let any preconceptions of who Julia Child is or what you may have heard about the modern day scenes keep you from missing one of the most delightful, transporting and beautifully acted love stories about living life outside of expectation or convention. Julia Child reminds us that we all live in a world of culinary sensation where the strength of your spouse and best friend can give you the courage to believe anything is possible.

I have a very hard time believing anything Sandra Bullock does in The Blind Side (which admittedly, I have yet to see) could top the magic of Meryl in this splendid little movie. It's simply a joy.

At the crossroads! To bail, or not to bail? It's deja-vu all over again, as it's feeling like 24 is just going through the motions this season. While there are fun new elements this year, namely Slumdog Millionaire's Anil Kapoor and his towering hairdo as the stylish President of "Bouffantistan..."

...and so many Battlestar Galactica cast-members (including Katee Sackhoff and Callum Keith Rennie) that I half expect Chloe to start arguing with Gaius Baltar -- the story is inspiring less suspense and exhilaration (even set in New York!) and more the urge to mock. How did Sackhoff get a job at CTU when her "dirty secret" is having been in prison?! CTU HR isn't very thorough! What will happen to her "Whiskey-Tango" ex-boyfriend? Will the new head of CTU offer anyone shrimp gumbo or shrimp salad? How insane will they let FBI agent Renee Walker get? And most importantly, as convinced as I am that this season is going to end up lame, having vowed "Never again!" after last week's episode, why am I seemingly all set to tune in again on Monday to see what happens next? Am I the only one asking these questions?!?

Budući da je heroj iz Šervudske šume veliki zaštitnik pravde i siromašnih, a sudeći prema izgledu glumaca koji su ga oživeli na velikom platnu (Erol Flin, Šon Koneri, Kevin Kostner...) i veliki dasa, Robin bi mogao i danas da nas nauči nekim važnim lekcijama o odnosu muškarca i žene. Evo primera:
1. Žene vole muškarce koji kradu
OK, ne baš bukvalno, ali žene definitivno vole "loše" momke. Čak i ako je vaš izabranik pošten građanin, neka mala, čisto muška "devijacija" (npr. voli da se posvađa sa organom reda) učiniće ga još privlačnijim.
2. Muškarci vole dame u nevolji
Muškarci uživaju u pomisli da su potrebni ženama: za zaštitu, fizički posao, za ljubav, uopšte za život.
3. Muškarac nikada ne sme da nosi helanke.
Bez obzira na opravdanu svrhu (za sport, kao zaštitu od hladnoće...) muškarac u helankama, ili, još gore, u hulahopkama, nikada nije lep prizor. S druge strane, dobro skrojene farmerke uvek su bingo!
4. Kuća na drvetu je dobra za zavođenje
Dobro, ne mora da bude prava kuća na drvetu - više ideja da se sklonite sa dragim na skrovito mesto (to može da bude vaš stan, "vaš" kafić, čak i neko usamljeno ćoše na zabavi) na kojem ćete moći da realizujete prvo od tri "I" (izoluj, intoksificiraj (šarmom ili na drugi način), infiltriraj se).
5. Prigušeno svetlo
Pri svetlosti sveća sve izgleda pomalo mistično i veoma seksi.
6. Brzo stavljanje kondoma
Oklop (kondom) možda inhibiše, ali je neophodan za dobru (i bezbednu) borbu. Zato je najbolje da počnete na vreme da trenirate da biste se dobro uvežbali. Dobićete ekstra seksi poene ako znate šta radite i ako možete da stavite tu stvar brže nego što strela prođe kroz cilj.

Šanse da pronađemo "srodnu dušu", partnera koji bi nam savršeno odgovarao i s kojim bismo proveli ostatak života su veoma male, zapravo svega 1:285.000, tvrdi jedan britanski matematičar.
U tezi "Zašto nemam devojku", Piter Bokus, asistent na univerzitetu Vorvik u Koventriju, objašnjava trogodišnje samovanje matematičkom formulom poznatom kao Drejkova jednačina, koja se koristi za izračunavanje mogućnosti postojanja vanzemaljskog života.
On je izračunao da bi mu od 30 miliona žena u Velikoj Britaniji odgovaralo svega 26.
Do tog broja, 30-godišnju matematičar došao je tako što je u obzir uzeo žene stare između 24 i 34 godine koje nisu u vezi i žive u Londonu i dodao nekoliko ličnih kriterijuma.
"Kada uveče izađem u grad, imam 0,0000034 odsto šansi da sretnem jednu od njih", naveo je Bokus.
``To znači da su mi šanse jedan prema 285.000, što nije sjajno", dodao je on.
Iako deprimirajuće, Bokus za svoje istraživanje kaže da ima i dobru stranu jer ljudima koji nemaju partnera pruža utešnu činjenicu da nisu sami krivi za to. Profesor Drejk je pomoću jednačine N = R* x Fp x Ne x Fi x Fc x L uspeo da ustanovi da u našoj galaksiji postoji još 10.000 drugih civilizacija s kojima bismo mogli da stupimo u kontakt.

Six weeks after giving birth to baby Benjamin, Gisele shot a campaign for Brazilian fashion brand Colcci.
The 29-year-old model was “in shape as always,” a reporter from Brazilian magazine Fantastico who visited the set said (via People) and revealed that she gave birth to Benjamin in her own home in the bathtub!
“Gisele gives off simplicity, spirituality, shows that she has concern with living well, being happy and, now, with being an excellent mom,” the reporter said.

Three IMTA Alumni on Project Runway!

Megan Davis, Erin Burton and series regular Holly Ridings will all appear on this season of Project Runway. Tonight's episode is called The Hi's and Low's of Fashion and airs tonight on Lifetime! Get the IMTA insider scoop on Megan, Erin and Holly below:

Megan Davis attended IMTA in 2008 and got selected to be on the new season of Project Runway.

Holly competed at two IMTA Conventions. She first competed in New York in 2000, and then came back to compete at IMTA three years later. She is represented by Elite Model Management, the biggest modeling agency in the world.

Erin competed at IMTA twice! She came to New York 2006 IMTA and New York 2007. She signed with Passport Model Management of San Francisco. She started the first round of Project Runway with over 1000 models and won! Please read a recent interview with Erin below:

What did you win and how will you be involved with the show?

Erin Burton: I won a chance to be on both Models of the Runway and Project Runway on the Lifetime Network.

What did you learn at IMTA that you think you will use during Project Runway?

Confidence. IMTA is such a learning experience, that builds confidence and really shows you what it's like to work in the industry.

How did your IMTA experience help you in the Project Runway competition?

Part of the Models of the Runway Casting Challenge, was a "Runway Walk video", and I really learned a lot about walking the runway at IMTA. I tried to go to all the seminars about runway, and really listen and then practice what I learned.

2. Pravilo: Upadljiv nakit se nosi samo uveče
Kako prekršiti:
Ne tretirajte svoje fensi đinđuve kao da su vampiri! Nek slobodno izmile iz škrinja i zakače vam se za vrat i preko dana. A da bi sve to izgledalo kako valja, obucite se svedeno i sofisticirano. Čiste linije neće zaseniti nakit i on će biti u centru pažnje. „Krupna ogrlica i jednostavna pamučna majica – sjajna kombinacija“, kaže stilista Elizabet Stjuart. „Ako takav komad nakita uparite sa džinsom, kardiganom ili jaknom svog dečka ili muža, izgledaćete fenomenalno.“

3. Pravilo: Ne kombinujte šarene stvari i kontrastne boje
Kako prekršiti:
Negde između dosadnog upeglanog fazona i zabrinjavajuće otkačenog stila nalazi se zona fenomenalno zabavne mode. Zašto ne biste pokušali s dve-tri neuobičajene kombinacije, recimo lila džemper na rombove i široka, cigovana suknja, kaže dizajner Rejčel Komej. Treba samo paziti da sve stvari budu srodnog kolorita i ne kombinovati desene koji sadrže više od dve boje.

4. Pravilo: Iskrzan lak za nokte skinite odmah!
Kako prekršiti:
Ima spasa iskrzanom laku, tvrdi ekspert za manikir Dži Bik. Mesta na kojima se lak skinuo popunite lakom slične boje kako bi se površina izravnala, a potom premažite ceo nokat.

5. Pravilo: Nikako šiške na okruglo lice
Kako prekršiti:
Ne promovišemo izgled bucmastog dečaka sa šerpa frizurom, ali, ako ste majstorski ošišani, to neće delovati bezveze. Neka vam frizer stanji šiške, koje nikako ne smeju da budu ravne, a sa strane neka ostanu malo duže i stepenaste, preporučuje frizerka Lea Žurno. Ovakva frizura ističe jagodice i samim tim vizuelno sužava lice.

6. Pravilo: Blagi parfemi za dan, teški za veče
Kako prekršiti:
Čuveni parfimer Robert Gerstner iz kompanije „Aedes de Venustas“ kaže da podele na teške i lake, dnevne i večernje, pa čak i na muške i ženske parfeme više ne važe. Stavite parfem s tradicionalno muškim notama kože i tamjana, koje se najčešće nalaze u parfemima kuće „Aedes de Venustas“, ili se usred bela dana namirišite nekim teškim, dramatičnim parfemom poput „fraka“.

7. Pravilo: Uvek stavljajte karmin intenzivniji od boje usana
Kako prekršiti:
U modi su blede usne, kaže šminker Pet Mekgrat, a ove sezone na modnim pistama vrveće od tako našminkanih manekenki. Naslagama pudera i balzama postićićete nijansu boje vašeg tena ili čak malo svetliju. Uz ovako namazana usta treba da imate svetlu, svežu kožu i senke u tamnim tonovima.

8. Pravilo: Ne kombinujte dve stvari od džinsa
Kako prekršiti:
Uparite svetao i taman džins, npr. indigoplave farmerke i košulju od bledog teksasa. Da bi kombinacija bila uspešna, mora da bude sofisticirana, tj. ne sme da vuče ni na kaubojski fazon ni na kič. Cipele nek budu s kaišićima, a torba s nitnama.

9. Pravilo: Kad izlazite iz kuće, obavezno skinite jedan detalj
Kako prekršiti:
Danas važi suprotno: što više, to bolje. Zato sve džidže koje volite stavite na sebe odjednom, insistira Filip Krangi, dizajner nakita.
„Asesoari su način da se kaže nešto o sebi. Volim spoj starog i novog, običnog i luksuznog, univerzalnog i ličnog. Pomešajte sve to, stavite i prave dragulje i bižuteriju“, kaže on.

10. Pravilo: Crveno je OK samo na noktima i ustima
Kako prekršiti:
„Pradine“ i „Gučijeve“ revije dokazuju da drečavocrvena senka na očima daje pogledu oštrinu i prodornost. Gradirajte senke tako da najintenzivniju, zasićenu nijansu stavite uz trepavice, savetuje Pet Mekgrat. Obavezno nanesite crnu smoki olovku, a crnu maskaru stavite i na gornje i na donje trepavice. Usne namažite tamnocrvenim ružem ili neutralnom senkom. Takav izbor dodatno će istaći oči.

11. Pravilo: Ako ste puniji, ne nosite usko
Kako prekršiti:
Šljampave stvari samo dodaju gabarit, a ponekad ostavljaju utisak zapuštenosti! Zato nosite odeću koja prati liniju tela i ne landara oko vas. Pravi izbor je usko, zagasito, jednostavno, jednobojno. Ako ste u istoj boji od glave do pete, izgledaćete kao da imate nekoliko kilograma manje. Monotoniju razbijte upadljivim asesoarima.

12. Pravilo: Jaki lakovi idu samo na kratke nokte
Kako prekršiti:
Ovalan bademast oblik noktiju vrlo je moderan, a izdužuje šaku, kaže manikir Roksana Valinoti. Isturpijajte nokat od korena ka vrhu tako da formirate ugao od 45 stepeni i dobićete željeni oblik. Onda mažite lak kakav god želite.

13. Pravilo: Sandale isključivo na bosu nogu
Kako prekršiti:
Sandale fenomenalno idu uz grilonke.
Važno je samo da obuća ne bude previše otvorena ni napred ni sa strane kako vam, između ostalog, prsti ne bi proklizavali, tvrdi Megan Krum, stručnjak za modne detalje.
Za ovakve kombinacije najprikladnije su bordo, tamnobraon ili crne grilonke. Bez obzira na komentare budite hrabre i dosledne u svom stilu i videćete da je trud isplativ. Uz ovakve kombinacije podrazumeva se da obučete i neku zanimljivu suknju ili šorts.

Wasn't it just the other day I was bemoaning how long we'd been waiting for a certain overdue Battlestar figure (see side column)? Well, thank you, comic book shop!!! Because at long last, Diamond Select's Colonel Tigh has seen the light of day. Pretty decent sculpt! One thing, that eyepatch is sculpted right onto the head and will not come off, so we can either hope DS makes a non-eyepatch variant or customizers will have a heck of a job on their hands. This is probably all we're gonna get for Colonel Tigh, I suspect, much like this spring's promised "mustache" Admiral Adama. DS seems to want to make a perceived definitive version of the characters, rather than do variants, a sign that the line may be nearing its end. But as usual with this figure line, the details are superb. He's seven inches of surly, hard-drinking, bald fury...

And if you think that shoulder patch is detailed, check out the label on that bottle of Ambrosia - it's an exact replica in some kind of crazy flea-circus font, so small only Burgess Meredith could read it...

Plus, you get a bonus (because this is a two-pack) a second figure of Lieutenant Gaeta. Not a very good likeness, sorry to say, more square-jawed than sniveling, but still nice to have. "Uh, sir, I need you to sign off on these Dradis reports..."

So a nice surprise! Can it have anything to do with Tigh having just appeared in this blog?! We'll have to test that little theory. One last shot of good old Saul Tigh. Now if they'd only make an Ellen Tigh, complete with removable shoes...
