IMTA alum Amy Acker will portray the recurring character of Dr. Claire Saunders in one of the most anticipated series of 2009! Joss Whedon, the creator of
Buffy the Vampire Slayer and
Angel, asked Amy to play one of the most interesting and most mysterious characters on
Dollhouse! "I'm the doctor who takes care of all the dolls in the dollhouse," Amy says of her character in an interview with SCI FI magazine. "And I have these horrible scars all over my face, so you get the sense that there's a little history to my character, and you're going to find out what happened to her and why she got these and why she kept them, and all of that stuff."
Amy has worked with Joss Whedon before, starring as Winifred "Fred" in his hit series
Angel. She also appeared as Kelly Peyton the assassin on the series
Alias. Amy has guest-starred on
Ghost Whisperer, How I Met Your Mother, October Road and
Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Amy competed at IMTA in the nineties and industry great Patrick Baca was integral in scouting and launching Amy at IMTA.
Dollhouse will air on Fox and premiere in February. You can watch the latest preview of this provocative series right here on
