The new head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers is to be officially introduced today in El Segundo.
Team executives say they plan on explaining to the public for the first time why they hired Mike Brown despite heavy criticism from the media and fans.
Brown will replace Phil Jackson, who retired after coaching the team for the past 12 season and guiding the team to five NBA championships.
Brown coached the Cleveland Cavaliers for five seasons but spent the past year as an NBA analyst for ESPN.
