Selena Gomez Resurfaces After Hospitalization

After news broke on Friday that Selena Gomez had been hospitalized, the singer resurfaced over the weekend and was seen getting more medical attention.

A photo was taken of the singer going to a Los Angeles-area hospital on Saturday. In it, the star looks a bit under the weather, sporting a striped tank and white jeans. Usmagazine.com reports that the singer, who fell ill shortly after appearing on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno" on Thursday night, is being treated for a combination of food poisoning and exhaustion.

Gomez also showed up on the Internet, taking to her Facebook wall to thank her fans for all their support, writing, "I just wanted to say thank you so much for all of the get well wishes. I love you guys so much."

"Selena was nothing but professional," a Leno insider says about her demeanor the night of her hospitalization. "She did a backstage interview and hung out with Jim Carrey after the show. 'The Tonight Show' people didn't even know she wasn't feeling well."

Justin Bieber seems to be trying to get his fanbase to send her get-well messages. He took to Twitter shortly after news broke of her illness to encourage his fans to send support Selena's way. He simply tweeted the hashtag "#getwellselena."

Pal Demi Lovato quickly followed suit, taking to Twitter to say, "@selenagomez praying for you friend. Love you. #getwellselena"

E! News reports that Bieber was slated to check out the Stanley Cup finals Friday night but skipped it. Reports add that Selena's Santa Monica, California, mall appearance is back on for Monday (June 13) night after it was canceled on Friday.

On Friday it was reported that Gomez had been suffering from nausea and a headache when she sat down alongside Carrey on Leno's late-night chat show. "Last night after Selena's appearance on 'The Tonight Show,' she wasn't feeling well and was taken to the hospital," Gomez's rep said in a statement to MTV News last week. "She is currently undergoing routine tests."
