Mr. Kutcher Goes To Washington!


IMTA alum Ashton Kutcher was one of the celebrity friends invited to celebrate the Presidential Inauguration in Washington, D.C.. Ashton and his beautiful wife, Demi Moore were guests at the most exclusive festivities including 'The Huffington Post Pre-Inaugural' Ball and The 'Be The Change' Inaugural Youth Ball.

In honor of Barack Obama’s Inauguration, Kutcher and Moore have set out to get pledges of service from the American people, including their celebrity friends. In a video, directed by Demi Moore and produced by MySpace and Ashton Kutcher's Katalyst Media, Ashton and many top celebrities appear making their promise to help improve our nation.

More than 50 A-list stars such as Jason Bateman, Dakota Fanning, Nicole Richie, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Kevin Connolly, Lucy Liu, Cameron Diaz, and Molly Sims pledge their service to Barack Obama and encourage others to do the same by going to USAService.Org and finding a cause.

"We are honored to be working with MySpace to rally the entertainment industry to answer President-elect Barack Obama's call to service," Kutcher said in a statement. "The 'Presidential Pledge' is a platform for people across the nation and throughout the world to make a first-person commitment of service to our new president, articulating a specific intent or action to become an agent of positive change."

Ashton Kutcher is an alumnus of the New York, New York 1997 IMTA. Eva Longoria competed at IMTA, Los Angeles in 1998. Faith Ford has been a special guest speaker and Award's presenter at IMTA since the 1990's. As Faith Ford eloquently states in the video,"Just because they come from a small place, doesn't mean that they can't dream big." Each of us at IMTA certainly believes big dreams can come true!

Ashton is shooting a new feature film!


IMTA alum Ashton Kutcher will begin shooting his new film Personal Effects with Michelle Pfeiffer and Kathy Bates. The romantic drama will be directed by David Hollander and the film will began shooting November 26th in Vancouver, Canada. Ashton stars as a young man who comes to a small town to avenge his sister's death. He is sidetracked when he meets an older beautiful woman (Michelle Pfeiffer) with emotional wounds similar to his own. Kathy Bates joins the cast playing Ashton's mother.

Ashton Kutcher competed at IMTA in 1997 where he won the title of "Most Sought After Male Model!" He had the most callbacks of any male model that year. He signed immediately with NEXT MODELS and began appearing in men's fashion week shows within two days of competing at IMTA! He famously said ,"I never even went home!" Ashton was a very successful model but he and his agent had even bigger dreams for him and submitted him for consideration of a new Fox television show called Teenage Wasteland. Ashton was cast in the part of Kelso and the title was changed to That 70's Show and the rest is part of Hollywood history! Ashton Kutcher's talent and likability have made him an A-list actor and he has become one of the industry's most successful and creative producers. Ashton's latest film What Happens in Vegas will be a must-see in 2008!

Riley Smith on Women's Murder Club!

IMTA alum Riley Smith is guest-starring tonight on ABC's new hit show Women's Murder Club! In the episode "The Past Comes Back to Haunt You," Riley plays a young man who needs the murder club's help to try to save his father. Riley's character's father is an inmate on death row with only two days left before his execution.

You may have seen Riley last night as a guest star on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in the episode "Goodnight and Goodbye" which aired Thursday on CBS. He played Jordan Rockwell.
Riley is also very musically talented and just released his first CD with his band The Life of Riley! You can listen to his great new songs on his official band MySpace.

Riley competed at IMTA in 1997 where he won Model of the Year for his age division. IMTA INSIDER: Riley was roommates with Ashton Kutcher in New York city when they were both competing at IMTA that year! Riley has been busy working in television and movies ever since. He appeared in many notable television shows and films such as: Drive, 7th Heaven, Freaks and Geeks, Gideon's Crossing, Boston Public, CSI: Miami, 24, Radio, Eight Legged Freaks, Weapons, and the recently wrapped the thriller Gallowwalkers.

He is currently filming Make It Happen a coming of age story about a young dancer's life. Stay tuned for more information on this multi-talented and busy young actor and musician and his upcoming projects!

Josh Duhamel's Star is Shining Bright in the Premiere of Las Vegas!!

Josh Duhamel stars in NBC's sizzling drama series Las Vegas on Friday Septmeber 28th. Las Vegas will start its 5th season with a big bang - a special two hour episode called A Hero Ain't Nothing But A Sandwich/Shrink Rap. Josh stars as Detective Danny McCoy, the central character in the Las Vegas casino security team. In this gripping episode, viewers and fans will find out which character will not be returning. Following the premiere, NBC.com will host a live blog chat with the show's creator Gary Scott Thompson and Josh where people can ask them questions live from at 11pm est/8pm pst.


Josh dazzled the judges with his star qualities as well, winning Male Model of the Year at IMTA in 1997. He competed against another very high profile IMTA alumn that year, Ashton Kutcher!

After IMTA, Duhamel landed his first acting job playing the title character in Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray, and he soon began acting on All My Children playing a role that won him a Daytime Emmy in 2002. Josh left daytime tv for his breakthrough role on the hit series Las Vegas. He starred in Michael Bay's Transformers: The Movie which was the 2007 summer movie of the year! This exciting action-packed movie has Josh playing the part of Captain John Lennox and in it he helped save the world! Ashton Kutcher featured in Cosmopolitan!



Ashton Kutcher is featured in the current issue of Cosmopolitan in an article on celebrities' early modeling days. Ashton is shown in a photo when he was competing at IMTA! He won the 1997 IMTA Most Sought After Male Model with a record number of callbacks!

Ashton is more than just a pretty face though...in addition to his successful acting career, he is a powerhouse producer of scripted and reality series. His newest television show Miss Guided will air on ABC as a mid-season replacement in the fall schedule and the network has recently ordered 13 more episodes.
