IMTA alum Eva Longoria recently tweeted the following: "My new cookbook, Eva's Kitchen, comes out exactly two weeks from today! I'm so excited! #evaskitchen." The book hit stores on April 4th and has been flying off the shelves!

Eva competed at IMTA in 1998 where she amazed the judges with her dazzling talent and gorgeous look. She moved to Los Angeles soon after IMTA, and landed spots on 90210 and General Hospital. With her incredible talent, she also joined the cast of The Young and the Restless. In 2004, she became the nation's favorite housewife Gabby Solis on Desperate Housewives which airs Sundays at 9/8c on ABC. Her latest films include Days of Grace, Without Men, and Cristiada.

Eva Longoria Parker is featured on the November issue of Latina magazine! Eva tells readers about her Thanksgiving and how she loves the food and family. "I actually enjoy running around doing all of the shopping, preparing the food and all of that fun stuff," Eva told Latina. As she hosts Thanksgiving every year at her house, she offers a suggestion for making the holiday season easier: "Just plan! I'm a list maker, so on day one I make the list and go shopping."

IMTA's Eva Longoria is Helping with the Census

IMTA alum Eva Longoria is teaming up with Pepsi to spread the words "Yo Sumo" which means "I count" in Spanish! This is for a campaign to encourage Hispanics to participate in the 2010 census. According to Mediapost: "Eva will direct and produce a documentary based on stories posted to the Pepsiyosumo Web site. Pepsi and Dieste, Pepsi's Hispanic agency, are working with NBC Universal's Telemundo and its youth-oriented cable channel Mun2 and the Telemundo.com site to spread the word. A Dieste spot features quick cuts of young Hispanics talking about being counted, with both English and Spanish voiceovers. Another partner, Mexican T-shirt businessman Edoardo Chavarin, has designed a Pepsi "'Yo Sumo' T-shirt."

Eva Longoria in Season Premiere of Desperate Housewives!

Desperate Housewives Season 6 starring IMTA alum Eva Longoria premieres this Sunday September 27th 9/8c! Eva competed at IMTA in 1998 and is now a Hollywood A-list star! In Sunday's episode called Nice is Different Than Good, Eva stars as the stunning ex-model Gabrielle Solis and this season, her character is struggling to deal with her now live-in niece. According to ABC: "Mike Delfino's bride is revealed; Lynette faces another pregnancy; Bree tries to break free from her inhibitions; Carlos' niece puts Gaby to the test; a new family moves to Wisteria Lane." During the run of the show, two other talented IMTA alums have been on the show, Lyndsy Fonseca as Dylan Mayfair and Tiffany Thornton as Barbie!

Eva Longoria Hosting the Alma Awards Tonight!

Tune in to tonight to see IMTA alum Eva Longoria presenting the ALMA Awards! New this year, she will be joined George Lopez who is co-hosting!!! Eva stars on one of TV biggest hits, is the owner of a successful restaurant, is a college student, and the founder and active Board member of the non-profit Eva’s Heroes dedicated to the developmentally challenged! She also is very involved with the NCLR (National Council of La Raza, a Hispanic civil rights organization), having executive-produced and hosted for the past four years the NCLR’s annual ALMA Awards that celebrate Latino heritage and its positive impact on American entertainment and culture.

Sunday, September 28 will start Season Five for Eva on ABC’s hit Desperate Housewives (9pm ET). While details surrounding the hit series are usually scarce, it was announced that this season has been placed five years in the future after the events of Season Four. Eva's character, Gabrielle—a former model—has become a mother, a change that requires less time in the makeup chair for Eva which she likes!!

IMTA alum Eva Longoria has signed on with the computer giant Microsoft to appear in their new ad campaign! According to Pulse2.0, "Microsoft Corporation is putting their ad campaign featuring Jerry Seinfeld on pause for the time being. The $300 million campaign will continue to march forward with a new theme. The new theme is a rebuttal against the Apple Inc. ads, Mac vs. PC. The new Microsoft ad will start with a commercial that features an engineer that resembles John Hodgman, the actor that plays “PC” on the Apple ads. The new ad even starts by saying “Hello, I’m a PC, and I’ve been made into a stereotype.” Crispin Porter & Bogusky came up with the new campaign idea. Microsoft is even bringing several celebrities on board as part of the campaign that includes Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives), Deepak Chopra (author), and Pharrell Williams (musician). Others featured in the commercials will include 60 Microsoft employees."

Eva Longoria and Lyndsy Fonseca are back for a much-anticipated new episode of the hit dramedy Desperate Housewives. Eva's character Gabrielle Solis is in an interesting predicament as always. Her husband was killed in the tornado last season and her ex-husband, who she still loves, is blind. Lyndsy's character Dylan Mayfair just read vital information from a note her dead aunt wrote which her mother thought she had destroyed. We cannot wait for this episode to air this Sunday April 13 on ABC!!

Lyndsy competed at IMTA in 2003 where she won 2nd Runner up for Young Miss Dancer of the Year and Honorable Mention Young Miss Talent of the Year. At the convention, she signed with an agent and manager and moved to Los Angeles for her first pilot season at age 13. The following year, at 14, Lyndsy booked a three year contract for the role of Colleen on The Young and the Restless. She just recently wrapped the movie Remember the Daze ( see Friday April 11 post) and she starred on the hot comedy How I Met Your Mother as the Daughter.

The beautiful and big-hearted Eva Longoria will be holding the first ever Eva’s Heroes Celebrity Golf Tournament to benefit the new non-profit organization she recently founded. The tournament will take place Saturday, October 13, 2007 at the Palmer Golf Course at La Cantera Resort in Texas. This charity is dedicated to enhancing the lives of developmentally challenged children and young adults. Eva has called upon many of her celebrity friends to support her cause. The guest list includes comedian George Lopez, Ricardo Antonio Chavira, the actor who plays her ex-husband on Desperate Housewives, Dancing with the Stars sensation, Mario Lopez, her husband NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs Tony Parker and former Spurs player Sean Elliott. The money will be used for programs and offerings at the Eva’s Heroes Enrichment Centers, the first of which will begin operations this Fall.

IMTA alum Jerry Ferrara's runaway success show Entourage received 7 nominations! Jerry starred in the fourth season as the beloved Turtle on the HBO hot series Entourage. Jerry competed at IMTA in 2000. Originally from Brooklyn, Ferrara landed his first role on CBS’ comedy The King of Queens. His television credits include NYPD Blue and Grounded for Life. Upcoming projects include Gardener of Eden, Where God Left His Shoes and he just wrapped the feature film Brooklyn Rules.

He has appeared in the feature film Nacho Libre. He guest-starred on television on Everybody Hates Chris, Everybody loves Raymond, and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. He just finished filming The Perfect Game about a poor Mexican Baseball team who works together to win the Little League World Championship.

Sofia Vassilieva was discovered at IMTA in New York, where she won the title of Child Actress and first runner-up Child Model Of The Year 2000. She went on to star in many films such as Eloise at the Plaza, The Brady Bunch in the White House, and Day Zero. She has received much attention for her role as Ariel Dubois, one of the lead characters on the hit NBC television show crime-mystery drama Medium which is nominated for an Emmy Award.
