Former West Life singer and now judge of “Australia’s Got Talent” Brian McFadden has claimed that ex-fiancee, Delta Goodrem told him about going out with Nick Jonas before the world saw her leaving a Los Angeles theater holding hands with the Disney star.



And McFadden insisted that “he is happy if Delta is happy”.



"She told me about it beforehand, whatever makes her happy,” McFadden was quoted as saying by Ninemsn.



He added, describing the photo taken of the rumored celebrity couple: "It was positive. She looks happy, if she's happy I don't mind."







The 32-year-old Irish singer-songwriter may sound okay about ex-fiancee’s newfound love, but the singer issued a warning against Nick Jonas and other men setting their eyes on the Aussie songstress.



McFadden said: “But there's a warning from me, if anyone hurts her they're dead."



The “Real To Me” hitmaker also clarified earlier reports that he was dumped by Goodrem, whom he had had a relationship for seven years before they split in April.

'Hiroshima In The Morning' On The 'Today Show' (VIDEO)

Ten years ago, Rahna Reiko Rizzuto--author of Hiroshima in the Morning--planned to spend six months in Japan doing research for her book before returning home to her husband and two young sons.

What she discovered about herself there changed her life forever.

"I realized that I had lost myself a little bit, and I wanted to give myself more priority," she told The Today Show's Meredith Vieira Thursday morning. So she eventually ended her 20-year marriage, and walked away from her family.

"I didn't want to be a mother, and that was because I had this idea that motherhood was this all-encompassing thing and I was afraid of being swallowed up by that."

Rizzuto's memoir, which is a finalist for the prestigious National Book Critics Circle Awards, chronicles her experience living in Hiroshima and interviewing survivors of the atomic bomb, then returning home to deal with the figurative bomb she set off in her own life, as she began to make her feelings known and her marriage began to unravel. Ultimately, she would make a decision she now regrets: "I left my children. It was unacceptable."

"When I got to Japan, there was kind of a space around me where I wasn't defined anymore in the way that I was in the U.S., where people had these expectations," she said. "I grew in ways that I didn't expect and I had to reassess what I wanted in my life."

Critics have called Rizzuto's behavior selfish. "I would say to [those critics]...that my children are fine, they're not traumatized. And I think they have a great life. They have everything they need...The trick is that it's not coming from the [person] that people think it should be coming from. Their father is doing what I would call the heavy lifting...I'm able to provide them something different.

Today, Rizutto lives down the street from her ex, with whom she shares joint custody. As for her boys, now teens, she believes she is a better mother to them now than she would have been if she didn't leave.

Meredith Baxter To Oprah Winfrey: 'Family Ties' Actress Felt Like 'A Fraud In My Own Life'

Family Ties actress Meredith Baxter sat down with Oprah Winfrey Wednesday to talk about the revelations about coming out as a lesbian and her "abusive" 15-year marriage to actor David Birney--both of which she details in her new memoir, Untied.

The actress, who spoke to Matt Lauer on the Today show Tuesday--the same TV show she came out on in 2009.

"Going to work [as mom Elyse Keaton on the set of Family Ties] was an oasis for me. It was a haven, because going home was so painful," she tells Winfrey.

"I felt a fraud in my own life...There was an intense desire for secrecy. 'Don't tell anyone that this goes on in the house'...I [didn't] want anyone to know the man I'm married to treats me this way."

Baxter says the abuse was mostly emotional, and included "being belittled, denigrated in front of the children, second-guessed...I had no voice for so long." (Birney denies her claims; the two split in 1989).

As to why she stayed, Baxter says it was partly because she blamed herself for Birney's behavior: "I didn't know that he had a part to play."
