More than 2,000 people gathered to pay their respects at the funeral of hip-hop artist Montae "M-Bone" Talbert in Inglewood, California on Friday, MTV News reported. The rapper, who made up one fourth of hip-hop group Cali Swag District, was killed in a drive-by shooting on Sunday, May 15. He was 22.
The remaining members of Cali Swag District joined with family, friends and fans at the Faithful Central Bible Church to mourn M-Bone's death. "Since the sixth grade, me and him been dancing together," CSD member Yung told the crowd, "but I never got to tell him this: He taught me a lot." PHOTOS: Notable names gone too soon
The Inglewood Police Department has not made any arrests in connection with M-Bone's murder. The department is asking anyone with information to call its homicide division at (310) 412-5246 or its 24-hour anonymous hotline at (888) 412-7463.
