My Sister’s Keeper won the Choice Summer Movie Drama Award! It stars Sofia Vassilieva as the ailing sister Kate Fitzgerald. Sofia competed at IMTA in New York, where she won the title of Child Actress of the Year and she was the first runner-up for Child Model of the Year 2000! While competing at IMTA, Sofia garnered a lot of interest from the managers, agents and casting directors who were scouting at the Convention. If you are interested in IMTA, please click here! Sofia signed with a manager and went on to star in many films such as Eloise at the Plaza, The Brady Bunch in the White House, Inhabited, Hurt, and Day Zero. This is not Sofia's first major award! Sofia also won a Best Supporting Young Artist Award in 2006 for Best Performance in a TV Drama for her work on the television series Medium!
The Teen Choice Award for Choice Movie Bromatic Comedy went to Marley & Me! IMTA alum Haley Bennett plays Lisa in the feature film and shares a very dramatic scene with Owen Wilson. Haley competed at IMTA in 2001 where she wowed the agents and managers who were at IMTA scouting for new talent. Her first big movie was Music and Lyrics where she acted and sang! Haley is in post-production on a new film called Arcadia Lost. She is currently working on a new thriller called The Hole where she portrays the character Julie Campbell. This scary movie is due out in 2010!
