'I had an affair with Madeleine’s fiancé,' Miss Berg told Norwegian gossip magazine Se Og Hor.
'We were intimate. He followed me home in a taxi at four o’clock in the morning.'
She claimed not to have recognised her lover.
'Had I known, I would never do anything like this. I feel sorry for Madeleine for having an unfaithful man,' she said.
