His popularity from his hit ’70s show The Partridge Family launched him to a level of superstardom so intense that in 1973 he sold out six shows in a row at London’s Wembley Stadium, a feat even the Rolling Stones couldn’t equal.

Now 60, Cassidy has maintained a vibrant music career, starring in several hit Broadway shows and still tours with his band. His big news? The father of two (daughter Katie Cassidy is an actress) will star in the next round of Celebrity Apprentice with Donald Trump, premiering 9 p.m. Sunday on NBC.

Meet Katie Cassidy: David's daughter makes an appearance on 'Celebrity Apprentice'

24-year-old Katie Cassidy is David's daughter with model Sherry Williams, who he dated on and off in the '70s and '80s. Katie was raised by her mother and her step-father, ER doctor Richard Benedon, but as "Celebrity Apprentice" viewers saw tonight, she remains close to her famous father. Though he struggled to raise money for his team, Katie donated a grand to the cause.

Celebrity Apprentice Season 4 contestant Hope Dworaczyk profile.

This Sunday night March 6th at 9PM on NBC the new season of Celebrity Apprentice debuts. Among the celebrities competing this year is Playboy Playmate Hope Dworaczyk. Hope will be playing for the charity Best Buddies which is a group that helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. At 26 years old Hope is the youngest person in the Apprentice cast by ten years (Niki Taylor at 36 is the next youngest). Hope Dworaczyk was Playboy’s Playmate of the Month for April 2009. In 2010 she was selected as the Playmate of the year and her pictorial in the Playmate of the Year issue included a 3-D foldout of her. Dworaczyk is also the host and co-producer of the TV show Inside Fashion which airs on the E! channel in Canada. In addition to her work with Playboy she has also worked as a runway model. Hope will be one of the hotties on the Apprentice. It will be fun to see all the guys drooling over her. It will also be interesting to see how her fame as a Playboy Playmate helps her.

Jose Canseco is Ready for Primetime

So...Donald Trump can see the future right?

Given the crop of crazies he has put together for this go 'round of "The Celebrity Apprentice", he had to have known back in October that this week's headlines were going to be dominated by tiger blood and "winning".

Think about it...who else can compete with the likes of Charlie Sheen when it comes to garnering airtime? Gary Busey, NeNe Leakes and, of course, Hall of Very Good favorite Jose Canseco...that's who.

Now, it goes without saying that I'll have the feed bag strapped on and my ass in the chair Sunday night to watch the premiere...especially given the prominence of Canseco in the show's promos.

But before you do that...watch the preview of the man who has "lived life ten times over".

If you watched Sunday night’s Celebrity Apprentice premiere, you might have thought that Richard Hatch would be the first fired. His whole team wanted him gone. Even Trump admitted to not liking him much.

'Celebrity Apprentice': Donald Trump sings Richard Hatch, Gary Busey, Marlee Matlin's praises

donald-trump-celebrity-apprentice-320.jpgDonald Trump forecasts it will take only "a couple of months" to get the newest family member into the boardroom.

Daughter Ivanka is expecting her first child with publisher husband Jared Kushner, so the baby won't be part of the Trump family dynasty yet in the latest round of "The Celebrity Apprentice." Already taped, the 11th edition of the "Apprentice" franchise starts its NBC telecasts Sunday, March 6 -- with contestants ranging from singers David Cassidy and Dionne Warwick to actors Gary Busey and Marlee Martlin, model Niki Taylor and controversial baseball veteran Jose Canseco.

"For every slot, we probably had five to six people who wanted to come on," Trump tells Zap2it. "You don't realize how many celebrities there are. The first time we did this, it was tougher, then we had great success with people like Joan Rivers and Piers Morgan. Now, everybody wants to be on the show."

Trump doesn't believe he changed his approach to accommodate deaf, Oscar-winning actress Matlin ("Children of a Lesser God''). She was accompanied throughout production of "The Celebrity Apprentice" by her longtime interpreter, Jack Jason.
