Dani Miura and Americus Abesamis on iCarly movie!

Two IMTA alums are appearing in the new iCarly: iGo to Japan television movie: Dani Miura and Americus Abesamis. Dani plays a Japanese concert-goer and Americus has the part of the toupee guard in this hilarious new movie about the iCarly cast going to Japan to do their webshow!


In 2005, Dani competed at IMTA and won many prestigious awards including: 4th Place Junior Actress Of The Year, 1st Place Commercial, 2nd Place Soaps, 2nd Place Commercial Print, 4th Place Cold Read, Finalist in solo singing and dancing, and honorable mention for Team Sing. She is appearing in a Capital One Christmas commercial that just started airing on TV, in Hannah Montana:The Movie, with IMTA alum Moises Arias, an American Idol Promo for David Cook called American Idol:The American Dream and Merry Christmas Drake and Josh on Nickelodeon which airs on December 20. Her other projects include a national Coke commercial, guest spots on Matters of Life and Death, Early Edition, The Disney Channel New Year Special and Payback. Dani is in post production on Mission of Honor a film starring Kevin Costner. She will be starring as the lead in a film called The Company We Keep which will be directed by Roy Capanella.


Americus competed at IMTA in 1999 and 2000 and has been working ever since! He just wrapped the movie Duel of Legend where he plays Zhang. This film is expected to be released in February of 2009. He has had guest roles on The Sarah Silverman Show, Hell's Kitchen, In Case of Emergency, Monk, Bald, Strong Medicine, Lets Make a Deal, The Mentalist and Richard III. He was in the movies 50 First Dates and Pirates of the Caribbean, in a national commercial for Subaru and in apromo for a video game called Civilization: Revolution. Americus was a contestant on another IMTA alum, Brooke Burns, tv show Hole in the Wall . He recently did a Blue Cross/Blue Shield commercial which is airing in the Alabama!
