Amy Acker Update!



IMTA alumna Amy Acker just wrapped season one of the television show Dollhouse. It has been announced that the show will be coming back for a 2nd season and Amy is set to come back as Dr. Claire Saunders, a doctor who takes care of all the dolls in the dollhouse. The"dolls" are humans with altered DNA, who after completing their assigned task, have their minds erased before the next job. As last season progressed it was revealed that Dr. Saunders (Amy's character) is actually an Active Doll who was imprinted with the memory of Dr. Saunders. Amy has worked with Joss Whedon, who created Dollhouse, before when she starred as Winifred "Fred" in his hit series Angel. In 2004 her role on Angel won her a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress on Television!


Amy competed at IMTA in the nineties and industry great Patrick Baca was integral in scouting and launching Amy at IMTA. Amy has guest-starred on Ghost Whisperer, How I Met Your Mother, October Road and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. She appeared as Kelly Peyton, the assassin, on the series Alias. Amy has a new show called Happy Town due in the Fall. This crime drama is about a small town with a uncommon amount of child kidnappings. Amy will play the part of Rachel Conroy in this gripping new show.
