A Tribute to Johnny Palermo

It is with great sadness that we must acknowledge the passing of Johnny Palermo, a very talented and kind young actor. On Monday, Johnny and his girlfriend Alessandra Giangrande were involved in a fatal car accident. Alessandra Giangrande was driving when the car went out of control and she and Johnny were killed immediately. Alessandra's brother was also a passenger in the car and he was seriously injured but is expected to recover.

Johnny was 27 years old. He competed at IMTA and attracted interest from the wonderful manager Peter Kluge of Impact Artists Group. Johnny moved to Los Angeles and began his career in Hollywood. Johnny appeared in over 30 different television series including General Hospital, How I Met Your Mother, Everybody Hates Chris, CSI: Miami, Passions, and Days of Our Lives. He played Rocco in Rules of Engagement which aired primetime this Spring. Many young viewers will remember Johnny as Evan Ribisi from the Nickelodeon series Just For Kicks.

Johnny's final performance will be seen in the independent film Pizza with Bullets, where he plays the character of the young Don Vito. It will be released October of 2009.
