Mika Boorem and Lyndsy Fonseca filming The Ward



Two IMTA alums Mika Boorem and Lyndsy Fonseca are currently filming the horror thriller movie The Ward. The story is about a young women who is in a mental institution where she is being haunted by a ghost! Lyndsy plays Iris in this scary movie and Mika portrays Alice and the film is being directed by John Carpenter.

Since attending IMTA in New York in 1994, Mika has guest starred on various television shows including House, The Ghost Whisperer, The Initiation of Sarah, The Drew Carey Show, Ally McBeal, Touched By An Angel, and Dawson's Creek. She has received two nominations for a Young Artist Award for her roles in the Christmas movie, Jack Frost and the blockbuster movie The Patriot with Mel Gibson. Lyndsy competed at IMTA in 2003 where she won Honorable Mention for Young Miss Talent of the Year and 2nd Runner up for Young Miss Dancer of the Year. At the convention, she signed with an agent and manager and moved to Los Angeles for her first pilot season at age 13. Since then she has starred in the hit show with fellow IMTA alum Eva Longoria Desperate Housewives! Her other various projects include: Heroes, Close to Home, The Beautiful Ordinary, How I Met Your Mother, Phil of the Future, Big Love, Intellectual Property, Waterfront, Cyber Seduction, I Do, They Don't, Malcolm in the Middle and Boston Public and Remember the Daze. Lyndsy's film Fort McCoy is scheduled for release on September 10!
